Tuesday - February 8

 Another chilly dreary morning with rain coming later.   We stopped at the post office, then to Publix, Dollar Tree and on home.    Good day to just hunker down with a good book and a blankie.

Tomorrow we had planned to get together with long-time friends from Reefpoint Marina, Racine, WI.    Just heard this afternoon that Mark and Barbara from New Bern, NC (spending February on Anna Marie Island) will not be coming as Barbara is having severe back pain and 4 hours riding in the car (to and from) would not be good.    Sure sorry to hear this and wishing her a quick recovery.

The rain started at 3:20 and continued off and on while we were gone and more coming throughout the night.

Late afternoon we drove to Parrot Key and a great evening with friends enjoying dinner and performance by Gatlin (a very favorite for many years).

What a fun evening with these special friends and our wonderful dinners (prime rib, coconut shrimp, jerk Caribbean ribs and red snapper were some of our entrees) and then white chocolate cheesecake or chocolate bomb.    The show was excellent as always.

Our nephew Jason was at today's closing of the bell on Wall Street for this company (Greenlight) on which he serves on the board of directors.
