Friday - August 4

Such a pretty summer day - clear blue skies and temp in the low 80's.   Mark, the dear went to Coffee Express downtown for coffees and muffins (morning glory and lemon/blueberry).

I walked downtown for a manicure with Danielle (she's having so much fun with her new granddaughter, "Veda".)   When I got home, we took off to do the laundry.    Then to Dianna's for lunch and final stop was try to find an alteration place for 2 pieces we needed fixed.    First one was Executive Cleaners which advertises they do alterations, but not the case.   Then we drove to Lakeside-Marblehead to Jamie's Stitches which got great reviews.    She works out of her home in the country, but had to call her (answering machine) and she's by appt. only and not taking any new business till after August 15th.   So, that fizzled and decided we'll just wait till we get back to Bloomington as we know there are some places there that replace zippers, etc.

On home....

Yesterday our friend, Beth sent me a link from Facebook that Gatlin (husband/wife duo that we love to hear perform in Fort Myers) was going to be at the Port Clinton Elks Saturday night!    What a huge shock and surprise.    We went to the Elks last night and got (almost the last) tickets available for the show which also includes a chicken dinner beforehand!    We are excited!

Tuna salad sandwiches for supper (my own recipe, but nothing like Rudder's 😥) and potato salad from WalMart which is delicious (Amish).

We walked around the marina, visited with some folks across the way who had just returned from dinner on Kelleys Island and then headed downtown.   It was such a beautiful evening and lots of people out and about enjoying MOM (Music on Madison) and the bars and restaurants were busy.   We went to RJ's for ice cream but ended up with gelato.....Mark had chocolate and I had Amaretto peach cobbler!    DEEElish!!!

Enjoy your weekend!
