Tuesday - August 1

We are back in Port Clinton!     After cereal and fresh peaches we were on our way for the 1-hour trip arriving in time for the 10:30 bridge opening.    Fun time on Kelleys Island and maybe we can get back there one more time this summer?    But here it is August already.

Cloudy morning and the sun kept "trying" to come out?    We went to Dock's Beach House for lunch - sat outside with many others and enjoyed seafood linguini for Mark and seafod wrap for me.

On home and Mark set to work changing the oil and filters in Catrina's engines.   This was an all-afternoon job.

Our neighbor Donna who is coming up on Friday with her 4 sisters for a week sent a text asking if we had heard about the big party at Put-in-Bay over the weekend?   "No".....well, I checked online and oh my...........19,000 peole converged on this popular island for what used to be a big bash "Chritmas in July" started many years ago on the last weekend of July.   In 2017 it got a bit out of control, but apparently the crowds were bigger than ever and they called in the SWAT team along with several deputies.    WOW....this is a fun place to visit but NOT on the weekends when it's all about babes, boats, bars and booze.    19,000 on that island.....CANNOT IMAGINE!

Luke and Maeve are having a fun week with their Nana and Pa on the farm.

They love the chickens
Here they are cuddling Laverne (there's also a Shirley)
Philip helping his father-in-law, Dave cut up the tree from last week's storm
