Monday - August 7

Mark and I slept on Flo last night.   More room for everyone to spread out. Rainy Monday and when it stopped and radar showed no more,, it was cloudy with dark threatening skies and still drizzle off and on and barely got to 70.

Mark went to the coffee shop for lattes for Annette and me; then he and Luke went back for hot chocolate for Luke and Maeve.    We played a few games (last night and today) - Skyjo, Race to the Treasure, Wild Uno and 3-handed euchre with Grandpa.

We drove in the country near Lindsey and were hoping to show the kids the big sunflower field, but it looked kinda sad and think that big attraction is over for another year.    They did see some and also lily pads.    Then to the Hopfinger/Zimmerman playground in the country.   The kids played basketball and swam....burrr....but they didn't seem to mind.

Playing with Thomas the Turtle

Came back for them to change clothes and then to Casa Las Palmas for some good Mexican fare and then to Cheesehaven for the kids to pick out treats at the huge candy section.

Hanging out on Catrina

On home.    Annette and I took naps, Mark left for Cleveland to pick up Philip and the kids played with their I-pads.   The winds really picked up this afternoon - crazy.

Annette, the kids and Grandma played more Skyjo and then Annette and I played 2-handed euchre which she won big time!    The guys returned at 6:30.

Daddy's here!

Walked to The Docks for dinner.   Finally saw some sunshine arouud 8:15.

Fun on the beach

The big kiddos walked to The Gristmill for drinks and Grandpa and I brought the little kiddos back to Catrina.
