Happy Labor Day!
After a rainy Sunday, today was sunny and beautiful. Mark went to Tim Horton's and brought back breakfast and noticed our tire pressure was down.....yesterday when we left Avis with our Kia, the tire pressure was low so we put some air in and hoped we were good to go. But overnight it went way down, so......got to the airport, got new car (Ford Flex) and transferred all our stuff.
Back to Catrina and started in with the final projects......it was very breezy today and with all the boat traffic, lots of activity on Lake Oneida. We anchored out so Mark could do some cleaning (got in the water with wet suit) and got the water line nice n clean. Took a while to find a quiet, protected anchorage with all the boat traffic and winds. Finally, found a quiet spot on the Oneida River. I was the go-fer handing him cleaning supplies and making sure he didn't freeze (water temp was 69), etc. We were out there several hours and when we returned to our slip, we got the dinghy and engine lifted out of water. And then just a bunch of other last-minute jobs.
We are tired.......but almost there.
Mark took me to the laundromat at 5:30 and he came back to do more jobs and load up a few more things. We went to the Waterfront Tavern for supper...good salad (coconut shrimp) and Mark had a perch sandwich. First time we've seen perch and walleye on a menu in a while
(Lake Michigan favorites)! Now defrosting the fridge and freezer. It never ends! Ha....
