Tuesday - September 12

Very wet, dreary day in NC......we helped Ryan with a few chores at Michael's house and said our good byes to him....back to DC today and off to Guam on Saturday.    Nice having him around and a big help to his brothers with lake/house projects.

The evacuees from Florida (The Abinet's) left mid morning for home - checked in later with Annette that it was slow going on the roads.    Mark and I went to Hickory and met Drew who gave us a tour of his new high school.    Then we were off to lunch at CafĂ© Rule - (I was here back in 2013 on Brooke's birthday and the day before Blair was born).    New name now but still really good.

Drew's big news is that he's been accepted at the University of Iowa!    So happy for him......he's applying to 5 other schools, so....Iowa is Michael's alma mater!

Mark moved Daisy and Toad back here where we'll hang out till Thursday.   We had some wind last night but not near what had been predicted and we were protected by the house.

I did some laundry this afternoon and then Philip and Annette had a date night and we watched the kiddies.
