Tuesday - October 3

Dreary day in Branson but rain keeps holding off.    I made sausage/bacon omelets and toast for breakfast and then we were off for some retail therapy (me).     Mark took me to Branson Landing - nice shopping while he ran some errands.    We met at Brass Pro Shop and then to the Sweet Bay Coffee Shop - all of these shops are along the White River and even have a zip line over the water @ $25 per person!    Ouch!!!

Next stop was at Grand Village - lots of specialty shops including Kringles Christmas Shop - very nice and probably the largest Christmas shop we've seen at 8,000 sq. ft.  but by far, there's nothing like Bronner's in Frankenmuth, Michigan - largest in the world at 96,000 sq. ft.

Checked out a few other shops and then lunch at "Mel's Hard-Luck Diner".     Had to wait in line for a bit, but great food and the waiters entertain while we're eating - singing requests from the diners.    This was a good time...

Back to Daisy for a brief rest...

Been texting our friends and former neighbors, Ken and Sigrunn.    They left Bloomington Sunday and traveling west on Old Route 66 (as much as possible; otherwise, interstates).    They are rerouting their honeymoon trip from 50 years ago all the way to California.

Their niece, Kelsie was with friends in Vegas Sunday night for the concert.   A bullet hit the table they were at,; they are fine but so traumatized - cannot imagine.    She is back in Nashville now.

INCREDIBLE, PHENOMENAL, AWESOME, UNBELIEVABLE, MAGNIFICENT....just some adjectives to describe "MOSES" which we saw today at the Sight and Sound Theater.    What a performance with thee most mind boggling stage sets, choreography and sound effects.    This theater does one biblical production a year and next up for 2018 will be "Samson".

Our program pointed out the challenges in putting on this production such as how to do the parting of the sea, how to depict the ten plagues, etc.

Well....let me tell you, they pulled it off BIG time - and then there were all the live animals on stage and walking the aisles.

GREAT way to spend a rainy afternoon in Branson and HIGHLY recommend this show which is in town till the 18th and then the "Miracle of Christmas" is on.

Misty rain when we came out of the theater.    We stopped at Montana Mike's Steakhouse for drinks, appetizer (campfire shrimp) and dessert (Apple Avalanche) which we shared.

Rain has picked up and nice and gentle on Daisy's roof.
