So....I mentioned that these folks are into bringing back the white oak tree and along with the SUNY research at Rice Creek (we met Professor Kamal Mohamed), today was the day to transplant the baby trees (planted 6 months ago as acorns) into bigger pots. We did 200 of them and it was a sweaty, hot, dirty job, but so happy we could help out (Mark did not do any lifting, shoveling, potting, etc.) . We spent 2 1/2 hours and now the trees can have much more room to grow before they are given a good home.
We took Uber back to Catrina and after showers and cold beverages, we were revived! Here's some pics from our afternoon.

We plan to leave early in the morning and cross Lake Ontario - supposed to rain, but calm seas!
