Saturday - August 24

51 years ago today Mark proposed!!!    One year ago we were doing the hot air balloon ride over Ithaca, NY - what a great memory!

Very dreary and cloudy with threatening skies most of the day - we just got a few sprinkles, but around 4, the sun came out.   Only in the 60's......Mark made blueberry pancakes and sausage for breakfast - yummy.   Good day to catch up on e-mails and check in with friends we've met this summer and see where they are these days?

After lunch we went for a walk and meandered thru some residential streets - Sodus Point is a quaint little town of just 879 in the off season.   This time of year (especially on the weekends....much more).   There are some neat B 'n B's, inns and vacation rentals plus with all the boat people, makes for a big summertime crowd.    No coffee shop here but 2 ice cream spots, so had some good Giffords before walking back to Catrina.

Sodus Point was formerly called Troupville and home of the battle (June 20, 1813) in the War of 1812.    There is a lighthouse and maritime museum here...

More pretties on the lighthouse grounds

Pretty flowerbed along Lake Ontario

And a pumpkin patch...
Sign of fall

2 things we haven't been able to do since Mark's injury are ride bikes and go on dinghy rides....oh well, another time...  oh, and must not forget lifting weights - now I could be doing that, but....?

We played some 2-handed euchre this afternoon - I won 2 games!!!!    Then went for a walk and nice visit with dockmate from Baldwinsville.

Had our leftovers from last night at Bay Street - sooo good!    Till tomorrow...sweet dreams!
