Wednesday - August 14

Spectacular day - 74 breezy and sunny.    We had breakfast and then off to Canada - just a short jaunt from Clayton to Gananoque (10 miles).    This beauty was docked in Clayton this morning....it is a 258' 4-story luxury yacht that is for charter - just $650,000 a week.    It sleeps 12 and has a crew of 22 for cruising in the Mediterranean or Caribbean.

Bella Vita
Welcome to Canada!

We cleared customs at the marina and got a slip - marina is huge and we are tucked as far away as possible!    LONG walk to the marina and then into town.

We got settled and walked (slowly for Mark) to the downtown area and had delicious lunch at Anthony's.   He went on back to the boat and I walked around the town, found a bakery with delicious butter tarts - we remember them from being in Canada many times before.    Sooo yummy.

As I meandered along the streets, I came across 2 beautiful B 'n B's with pretty flowers
in the front yards.

Turtle Island B 'n B
Front yard landscaping - pretty brook with colorful fish
Seaway Manor B 'n B
St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church
Gorgeous front yard of a home

The Canadians sure know how to grow the abundant, lush blooms - remember from past visits and this town has so much beauty.

Long walk back to the boat, took a nap and just enjoyed the pretty afternoon with good book.
