Friday - June 12

Beautiful sunny day......we started the day with an early-morning trip to town, stopping at Panera for pastries and coffees and then to Ewing Park at 8:30 to meet the Monday Morning Breakfast Bunch - Pat and Brenda, Sue and Jerry, Ken and Sigrunn and Marty.    So much fun sitting under the shelter with a nice breeze and catching up!     Mark left at 9:15 to pick up Liam for baseball practice at O'Neill Park.   He came back to me up as the group was breaking up!    Said our good byes and each went our way.    

We left for KK to pick up some waters and then to Busy Corner where we had pre-ordered our salads + favorite slices of pie for all.    Drove to East Peoria and the Veteran's Shelter (loverlooking Peoria) and again, so pleasant sitting under the shelter.,    We were with Allie and Owen, Jane and Joe and again, so fun to be together!    It was a wonderful afternoon!

From the park we went downtown Peoria and shopped for new walking/hiking shoes at Running Central.    These folks really know "shoes" and Henry was a great sales clerk.   He's going to be a senior at Bradley and is a cross-country runner.    The staff here are all very knowledgeable and well trained for the perfect fit and whatever workout shoe you desire.

Stopped at Uftring Ford to get Big Red.   Met back at KK around 4ish and transferred our stuff from car to truck as we'll be turning in car tomorrow.

Had leftovers (pizza for Mark and  Chinese for me) for supper.
