Friday - March 12

Beautiful Friday in SW FL.   We walked, had breakfast and Mark was off for his consultation with primary physician, Dr. Taylor McCarty.     I did a bunch of paper work and some laundry.   Nice to have a day to stay "home"!    Mark was very happy with his meeting with Dr. McCarty.    From there he went to Costco to check about glasses for computer use, but that place was a zoo and would've been a long wait, so he tried Target and same thing.     Another day....

Mark told the doctor his eyes were really obthering him (not his vision, but watery off and on.)    Dr. said he's having the same issues and it's cause of the heavy pollen from the palm trees going on now?   First time we'd heard of that?

Exciting news came last night - Drew and Davis both have internships for the summer.    Drew in the health field and Davis, at an aerodynamics firm.

Yesterday we turned over 10,000 miles in my car (6 1/2 months old) and today, Big Red reached the 1000 mile mark!

Jim had another issue with his car after being fixed a few weeks ago.    He took it in yesterday and borrowed my car today to pick it up!    Apparently a wrong part, so should be good to go now!

And speaking of mileage - getting some miles on the ole bods these days.     Jim and several other die-hard walkers in the park are usually walking on the asphalt versus the concrete sidewalks - easier on the knees and back.    So, that's what we've started doing and as one guy said this morning "you don't have to deal with all the dogs"!   😉

Tonight  John and Susan stopped by in their golf cart with their daughter, "Jennifer Hudson" before marriage and her 3 1/2 year old son Carter.    Jennifer and Carter are visiting from IL this week.    Mark's sister Janet is a math teacher at Honenegah High School and Jennifer was one of her students for math competition several years ago...

Enjoy your weekend - keep safe and healthy!
