Thursday - March 18

It was a long drive today thru and around threatening weather, BUT.....all so worth it when we arrived and received BIG hugs from our kids and grandkids!!!!    LOVED each and every one....finally!!!!!!!!

We left our hotel at 7 and Mark had been watching the weather channel and checking radar.    So many storms in the south and southeast.    We had some stops along the way but overall, really lucked out.   We did have some heavy rain but didn't last long and phones warned us of tornado warning in our area, but overall, nothing like we had feared.    South and North Carolina are sooo beautiful in the spring and even though today was cool and damp, the azaleas, Bradford pears, forsythia and daffodils were gorgeous.
