Thursday - March 4

Felt really good walking this morning with the cooler temps.    Breakfast and on with the day.    We met Charlotte and Doug at Buckingham Farms (their 1st visit).    Another yummy lunch (I had the spinach salad with blackened shrimp and warm bacon dressing).    Mark had the special - tuna melt on English muffin.    Charlotte and I shopped for a few goodies and then checked out Roger the turtle.    Always so fun to catch up with these 2......their time in Fort Myers on their boat is winding down.  😢

Charlotte and Doug
dear friends from Annapolis

On home for us and a quiet afternoon including a nap, walking and reading.

Good little pooch wearing  his mask here in the park!

Annette's parents live in the country and have some animals including Chumley, a beautiful peacock who they've had for 15 years.    I loved to see him spread those gorgeous colorful feathers.   Chumley died yesterday....they are heartbroken.

I really love getting mail especially at birthday time......the USPS continues to be soooo slow.   I'm still getting cards that were mailed from IL and AZ in mid February.   Just don't understand this - it's not the Christmas season.    At any rate, I'm enjoying them whenever they arrive!

Mark met a guy from Maryland who had just arrived with his wife in the park (they have a lot here).   They were not able to be here earlier as Grandma was helping their grandson and his virtual school as the parents were working.   The grandson is now back in school, Grandma has fulfilled her duties and off to Florida they went!

We had a great visit with neighbors (till March 15th) from Drummond Island, MI - Bill and Beth.   So much to chat about and so much in common (we love DI and have boated in that area several times)   But the biggest coincidence was that they had a "Daisy" like us for several years (also green/white).   Now they have a new larger RV but miss "their" Daisy!!!
