Friday - October 21

Nice day and the massive clean up continues seeing more huge trucks (tandem) out collecting the trash.    We left at 8 for Sweet Bean Cafe and met Connie and Steve for breakfast - love this place especially their grilled cinnamon bread.    It was so good to see them and hear their stories - their house came thru Ian ok, but water damage in garage (with 2 cars sitting in water for a week) + lots of trees and other vegetation lost.    We sat and listened to what they've been dealing with for 2 hours....caught up on other stuff, too.    Just really good to be with them, hug them and thankful it wasn't worse for them.

Connie, Pat, Mark, Steve

Saw several tandem truck/trailers with grapples to grab the debris.

On home....Mark had an appt. in the afternoon (consultation for colonoscopy) Dr. Koka (gastroenterologist).    He will have that procedure next week.   Mark and the nurse were discussing the hurricane, where each of them were from.....she's from Bloomington, IL....and the PA is from Normal, IL.   Whoaaa..............

Mark got a call from the marine store in Port Clinton....tah dah, his new dinghy which was ordered 14 months ago is in!    Making arrangements to get it to Superior Marina and store next to Catrina.

Enjoy your weekend!
