Thursday - October 13

What a BIG difference a day makes...today we woke up to beautiful clear sunny skies and everything so fresh (and nippy at 44) after all the rain.    We left at 8:45 and once again, listened to our favorite tunes (I also like Seriously Sinatra), prayed the Rosary and enjoyed the spectacular fall colors thru KY, TN and a little bit of AL.    But by far, Tennessee gets the prize for miles and miles and miles of incredible beauty and with the sun shining, oh my!

We stopped for lunch "somewhere" in TN and had deli sandwiches on Flo.    Traffic was heavy today (especially around Nashville and Birmingham) and more construction.    We arrived at the Birmingham South RV Park in Pelham, AL around 3.   Ready to be done for the day and enjoy the 80 degrees!

Our neighbors from Indianapolis pulled in behind us - we had passed them along the way.   They are headed to Wesley Chapel, FL (north of Tampa) for the winter.   He asked Mark where we were going?   "Fort Myers"......"Oh, bless your hearts"!!!

We walked around the park tonight - it's very pretty here with lots of trees and some small log cabins.   Tomorrow our destination is Lamont, FL (east of Tallahassee).
