October 11

Back on the road again leaving at 6:04 this morning.    A few stops along the way and 5.5 hours later we were in Grand Haven.    Daisy is settled at the state park with thee most beautiful view of Lake Michigan (all the sand and water are right outside our door on this perfectly lovely day).

We drove Toad to Muskegon with a bunch of stuff for Catrina and got that put away.   Back to Daisy and changed into our new biker shorts, grabbed our bikes and off we went - what a super trail along the water, thru the woods, etc.   And this great day was topped off when Gloria and Harvey came for drinks and visit.    Gloria is a sister to my friend, Barb from Moline who Jane and I visited a few weeks ago.   Our parents were good friends and played oh-so-many cards over the years.    Gloria and Harvey live about 1/2 hour from here.    What a fun time......we walked to Snug Harbor for great dinner on the water.    It is so pretty out tonight - calm and peaceful with a thousand stars in the sky.    October is thee time to be here - lots of space available - summertime would be an entirely different story with all the tourists and RV's.
