We left our beautiful campsite overlooking Lake Michigan after enjoying a delicious breakfast at Morning Star (thanks so much for that recommendation, Gloria) in downtown Grand Haven. Off to visit friends Helen and Leon in Ruby Creek. It was a 1.5 hour trip and the fall colors were spectacular - we are in peak season and oh my......took so many pictures! Brilliant oranges, yellows, rusts and reds (orange seems to be the primary color up here)! Arrived at Ruby Creek and so good to be back with these long-time friends. Their cabin in the woods is really neat - warm and cozy! After lunch we went for a long ride in the country and just oohed and aahed along the way stopping to put our cameras to work...

We had a relaxing evening on their deck and then indoors with excellent dinner, wine and chatter!
It was a really fun, "beautiful" day!!!
