Beautiful day to spend in the country.....after getting some stuff done at home, Mark and I returned all of his scuba equipment to the dive shop (had to be all dry) and then we were off to the Mackinaw Valley Vineyards where we met friends, Cheryl, Allie and Owen.    It was sooo pretty sitting outside in the sunshine sampling wine and enjoying different cheeses/crackers that Allie brought.   then we enjoyed our lunches and I gave then each a caramel apple to take home.

We walked around the gazebo, sat on the swings and enjoyed the water and vineyards - took pictures and then bought some wine.  Other than a few workers, we had the place all to ourselves!   This is a happening place on the weekends with entertainment and big crowds.   We all drove to Mackinaw where we said good-bye to Cheryl who had to leave for work.  The rest of us went into the Depot (old train station converted into a wonderful gift shop/tea room).    We enjoyed delicious desserts (coconut cream pie for Allie and Owen; double chocolate torte for Mark and turtle cheesecake for me).    While the guys visited, Allie and I hit the gift shop - it was like a magical fairyland all decorated for Christmas - sooo many pretties!   Great fun!

We've been so blessed with thee best weather this fall (still not much color around here, though); and after such a wet, humid summer, the fall has been very dry, so....that's why we have such a lack of color or so they say?
