Friday - December 10

An ugly day in central IL.....I left at 9 in heavy fog to meet Allie and Jane at Allie's home.    Well, the further west I traveled, the better the fog cleared.   And tah dah....Peoria had sunny blue skies!   We visited with Owen (Allie's hubby) for a bit and then off to Galesburg with Jane, our chauffeur.    Met our friend Barb who drove from Moline.    We all went to Midstate Business College (back in the day).   It's been a few years since we were together but always a fun time.    After our yummy lunch at Landmark Creperie Cafe (their spinach soup is sooo good), we went to Cook and Co. which is a great kitchen, gourmet food, chocolate gift store.    We all bought some things and then said our good byes as the rain had started and we were eager to go home.

Allie, Barb, Jane, Pat

Rained hard all the way home; I stopped at Costco for a few things and so glad to be HOME!!!

Mark had lunch with Henry (a former work colleague) at Garden of Paradise and enjoyed catching up

A few days ago we drove past our little house on Meadowbrook Drive (1972-74).    It has new grey siding and was all decked out with lots of outside Christmas lights.    Made us smile.

Sorry to hear Brady has been sick, too and missed school yesterday and today.  Lots of crud going around!
