Saturday - December 4

Beautiful day but cooler than yesterday.....I was off to get a haircut with Morgan at 8:15 first stopping at Eastland Suites to pick up a few things.    Always fun to visit with her and hear the latest on her baby, Piper (16 months) and Covid and the frustration the IL folks are feeling over the wearing of masks "indefinitely" by the governor.

Mark and Connor did a pick-up for breakfast at Garden of Paradise.    The boys took Gibson and Frankie to Shepherd Park for some running/playing time - a Saturday event.    Mark was off to get a haircut and I made a cup of coffee with peppermint mocha, turned on the Christmas tunes and settled at the kitchen table with the cards/letters/stamps and return address labels!    Trying to get these out earlier this year with all the delays at the USPS.

A friend dropped off this pretty wreath last night...

Starting to look Christmassy here

When the boys returned, it was bath time for the doggies - they were a tad muddy from romping around.   Grandpa and the boys did some jobs outdoors and in the garage.    And then we gathered around the kitchen table and plotted our plans for when they come to Fort Myers for Christmas.    Golf tee times, tours, top golf, pop stroke, Babcock Ranch, where to eat, (or their favorites for Grandma to have on hand) etc., etc.

The boys made the rollo/pretzel/M & M treats - definitely a family favorite with all our kiddos (parents, too).

Oh gosh....these are sooo good!
Time for some Frankie cuddles
Watching the big boys play and wanting so badly to go out there with them

Mark's sister Doris and Rich came from Palos Park and we met at Baxter's for dinner with the boys.    Doris started this tradition of taking each of her siblings out for dinner around their birthday....so special.   We've been together for several years usually the 1st weekend in December and then Doris (a big hockey fan) also gets to watch Liam and Connor play.

Wonderful dinner at Baxter's
Pat, Liam, Connor, Doris, Rich, Mark
Celebrating Rich and Doris's 45th wedding anniversary and Mark's birthday
Enjoyed 2 delicious pieces of gooey butter cake with chocolate ice cream and fresh berries
 (complimentary)
