Wednesday - December 8

Chilly but sunny and we were off at 9:20 to drop me off at St. Joe's SurgiCenter for eye tweaking and Mark went to his dermatologist appt.

After cataract surgery (15 months ago for me), sometimes, a procedure known as YAG is done if a film develops.    Not everyone gets this, but we know several who have had it done.    So simple....and I was in and out of there and back home in 35 minutes.    There were several folks having this done today - zip, zap and next please....amazing!    Next eye will be in one week.   Best part was no special instructions beforehand and other than not driving cause of the dilation, no other restrictions.

Mark also got zapped by Dr. Lucy (8x) but all good.    He's good to go for 6 months.

On home for a bit and worked on the cards and then we went to Meijer's - Connor had told us Gloria Jeans is now open in Meijer's and sure enough there they were (as of 3 weeks) and ready to serve up some coffee treats - happy to give them some business and hope they do very well.

Picked up a few other things and then off to Gridley to visit friends, Barb and Roger.    Barb broke her wrist the day after Thanksgiving, had surgery and recovery is going well.    We visited for 3 1/2 hours - so fun!    Looking forward to being together in Florida.

Roger, Barb and her boo boo

Back to Bloomington and 5:15 Mass at Holy Trinity for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.   On home and hunkered down for the night!
