Monday - December 6

COLD and BLUSTERY today with strong winds.    We met the Monday morning breakfast group at Shannon's - missed Jerry and Sue.    Enjoyed a hearty breakfast and catching up with Ken, Sigrunn, Pat, Brenda and Marty.

Across the street from Shannon's is the new Aldi, so checked that out and bought a few things.    On home for about 15 minutes and it was time for lunch.........tummies are groaning.

So for the 2nd time in 2 days we ate at Destihl (brunch yesterday - lunch today) and it was soo good as always.    Extra special was being with 2 of Mark's high school classmates and 1 spouse.    Judy was with us in Branson in September for their 56th class reunion.    We made a plan to get together (Judy came from West Brooklyn, IL - back in my neck of the woods; and Bob and Lynn came from Germantown Hills).    We sat and yakked for just a few minutes shy of 3 hours enjoying a bottle of wine, great lunch and dessert!   I had never met Lynn (classmate) and Bob - what fun and we made a plan to do this again in May.

On home and glad to be out of the cold wind.    Got the fireplace switched on, the Christmas tunes going, and wrapped a few more packages - coming down the home stretch.

Sorry to hear that Connor is sick with some ole bug - viral......negative for covid, flu and strep.    I guess the flu (type A) is going around CCHS.

Wrapped more gifts tonight and the winds continued to blow at 25 mph going down to a low of 15 overnight!!!
