Friday - September 7

Beautiful day and cool morning, but perfect for exercising.    Got that out of the way, had breakfast and got Flo and Big Red hooked up and off we went.
Saw some very pretty country today leaving behind the wonderful 1000 Islands and moving onto hilly farm country, including many Amish.    We had lunch in Brushton, NY at the Double D Diner. Enjoy these small-town cafes/diners - good food and friendly folks.

Traveled 160 miles and arrived at 2:45 at the North Pole Campground in Wilmington.    The higher elevation, the views were gorgeous with tall pine trees surrounding the many lakes.  We are just 10 miles from Lake Placid and many other lakes in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains which are over 6 million acres!
Let the exploring begin!!!

After sitting most of the day, and after we settled Flo, we took our wine and went for walk  - nice park, very woodsy and sat on Adirondack chairs (naturally) overlooking the Ausable River.   Met a couple from Rockford, IL.    Our neighbors are full-time nomads now (originally from Virginia) and winter in Arcadia, FL.

Make that 3 choices!!!
Just 1 sign that we are in the North Pole!

Mark did more travel planning and our trip to Boston/Cape Cod will definitely have to be during the week.     There are not a lot of RV park/campground choices for big RV's or travel trailers Flo's size in that area and weekends are full,    We'll be approximately 40 miles from Boston and 60 from Cape Cod when we stay at Normandy Farms, but no biggie.....nice to not have a schedule and looking forward to seeing family and friends!

I enjoyed my leftovers from last night's awesome dinner and made Mark a BLT.

The Chamberlains who attended Jason and Nicole's wedding last Saturday...
there are at least 75 more in Mark's immediate family!
Great family and celebration!

Have a great weekend!
