Chilly and dreary start to the day....we exercised indoors, had breakfast, hooked up Flo to Big Red (Mark made an executive decision to name the Ruby Red truck "Big Red")
and left the campground at 9:40.
and left the campground at 9:40.
It was a 110 mile trip crossing Lake Champlain (2 bridges) and tah dah, we are in Vermont. There are 3 or 4 locations where you cross from NY to Vermont on a ferry, but we chose to go further north and come south (bridges are on north end and south end).
Settled Flo in for 3 days/nights at the Lone Pine Campsites Park in Colchester and had lunch. Later we drove into Burlington (9 miles away) and found a nice pedestrian mall but not a nice day to be out and about - a damp cold and then started to drizzle. We got coffee/latte at Uncommon Grounds and drove around some more. Colchester/Burlington are along Lake Champlain and very pretty waterway with lots of boats and marinas. Lots of lovely huge old homes in Burlington. Stopped at Lowe's for a few things and on home.
A nice gentle rain started around 4:15 and to continue into tomorrow!
Good night to stay in....fixed Mark a BLT and some soup while I had my trout leftovers from Saturday night - 2 happy campers.
On a sad note....I am heartbroken for my friend Missy in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Her husband Butch suffered a massive stroke Saturday night and is in Las Vegas hospital.

Love the name for the truck. If memory serves me right that was dad's "CB" name back when he used them in the truck/car. Sweet memories!
