Saturday - September 15

Nothing special planned today, but first we got to see our neighbors' beautifully restored 1940 Buick.    Harvey and Mary Ann from Connecticut and Naples are at Lake George for the vintage car show this weekend and have won several prizes with this beauty which Harvey totally did himself - (except for the paint job)  - 3.5 year project.

Bandelino Blue

After breakfast, we went hiking and 4 miles later.....back to Flo!   It was absolutely gorgeous walking thru the park and felt invigorating!

Mark is on a mission
Scenic road
Pretty gazebo, flowers and fountain

Showers and off to town where we had a great lunch at the Overlook Café with views of
Lake George with line-up of new boats
Parasailing

Walked thru the car show and found Harvey's dream car, but they were not around.

Handsome grandsons gearing up for their IESA baseball tournament...
won 11-1 today so off to a good start!

Connor (pre eye injury)

Stopped at the outlet mall and I had some retail fun at Vera Bradley and on back to Flo.    It was in the upper 80's today - hot in the sun, but very pleasant here in the woods.

The rain started this afternoon at Lake James......just incredible how the rain keeps coming in eastern NC leaving so much destruction.     Praying for the victims and all those in harms way.....such a massive clean-up to come.
