We exercised and then left for Patriot Place, home of the Gillette Stadium where the New England Patriots play just a few miles away here in Foxboro.. It is quite the complex surrounded by many shops, restaurants, and businesses, including a very large Women's Health Complex - "Brigham Women's Urgent Care" and next door, under construction will be the Dana Farber Oncology Center for Women.
Gillette Stadium
We got to peak into the stadium, walked around the shops and then had lunch at Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse - very good and #1 on Trip Advisor for this area. Found a car wash for Big Red and then onto Target for some groceries/piddlies.
Did some laundry late this afternoon (just across the road from Flo) and then a "walk in the park" - can't find the acreage for Normandy Farms, and doesn't have as many sites as Lake George, but here they are further apart and there are more amenities, including an "adult" area and everything is so well kept. Interesting story behind this place (won't go into all the details, but Normandy Farms has been here since 1759). The Daniels family settled here from Normandy, France and farmed the property buying more land thru the years. In 1974 it became a campground ($3.50 per night) and today, the 7th, 8th and 9th generations are still keeping it going and doing one mighty fine job!!! No wonder it is one of the "Top 16 Campgrounds in the World"!!!
That is quite a distinction.
Such a domino effect from Florence that goes on and on - heard the staggering #'s yesterday of millions of chickens and thousands of pigs lost in the flood.
Leftovers from last night for supper!
And now presenting......Miss Bubbles.....where oh where is Blair??? Glad she escaped! Ha!
Peek-a-Boo
Off to Maine tomorrow!
