Been a whirlwind weekend.....here's what we've been up to:
Thursday - very early morning (3 AM wake-up) to catch our 6:00 flight from Syracuse to Detroit to St. Louis. Got our rental and off to Bloomington. Had lunch at "Ariston" in Litchfield (#1 on Trip Advisor) - good choice and arrived at Anne's around 2. Changed clothes and off to storage to rummage around, gather some things and put other stuff away. We decided our unit definitely needs some downsizing, but WHEN are we going to do that??? Not high on the priority list but someday...
Ran some errands, chatted with Connor and Patrick and then off to Liam's ballgame. Sat with Anne and friends, Margaret and Paul as their grandson, Jack plays on the team. Very exciting extra-inning game with the Saints coming out on top 3-2. Liam pitched 4 great innings and got some key hits. We were down 2-0 most of the game and tied it in the 7th and won in the 9th.
Our "star" of the game....Liam!
Back to the Campbell's for pizza, salad, chatter and then off to bed (been a LONG day).
Friday - said our good byes to the Campbell crew and then a quick stop at Panera for
breakfast-to-go.
Anne and her boys
Arrived in Eureka, MO and met my cousin, Carol for lunch at O'Dell's Irish Pub (very good Reuben). We had a 2-hour visit and sooo fun to catch up with her and daughter, Stefanie who joined us for a little visit.

On to our hotel in Pacific and the start of all the weekend wedding fun with Mark's family. They were trickling in all afternoon/evening and we ended up with 28 for pizza at the Comfort Inn along with lots of games, cards and chatter.
Saturday - Hot day in St. Louis....breakfast and visiting and then Mark and I took a little jaunt to find the wedding venue (Silver Oaks Chateau) out in the boonies. Found church for tomorrow in Pacific and then tah dah....a cute little coffee shop (Little Ireland Coffee). Not much in downtown Pacific with many empty storefronts, but this place was great along with "Nettie Suze", a very nice gift store.
Late last night our niece, Cory and Kyle had a baby girl, Kara Ruth, 6 lbs., 2 oz. and welcomed home by brother Eric, 2.

My sweet little girls having a Saturday morning tea party!
Some of the bride's aunts helped with the decorating.....what a beautiful place (Silver Oaks Chateau).
And then off to the wedding....it was a lovely outdoor ceremony followed by drinks, appetizers and family pictures on the patio (this place looks like a French Chateau). A delicious buffet dinner was followed by dancing and lots of family visiting! Mark and I, plus another couple married in August, 1969 won the anniversary dance (longest marriage - 49 years)

Sunday - Had breakfast at hotel with several of the family, then they started departing and said our good byes - I'll see my "sisters" in November at "Sisters' Weekend" and rest of the clan at Christmas gathering. Mark and I went to 10:00 Mass at St. Bridget of Kildare and then off to Chesterfield to visit a fellow Sublettian (Bev) and hubby, John. We had such a fun time with yummy lunch and enjoyed their sweet little 7-yer old granddaughter, Jada. We all went to the St. Louis Science Center for the exhibit "Destination Moon" featuring the Apollo 11 spaceship which put the first man on the moon on July 20, 1969. Very interesting! Later, we enjoyed drinks and snacks at their lovely home and met some of the family members.....daughter Lindsey, granddaughter Mia and her friend, Melanie.

Around 7ish, the 4 of us went to the "Walnut Grill" for dinner - sat outside and enjoyed dinner and more visiting. And then it was time for we nomads to get some sleep - EARLY morning again tomorrow.
Meanwhile back in Bloomington, Drew is spending the Labor Day weekend with Anne, Patrick, Liam and Connor.
Drew had the unique and delicious experience of having lunch at Green Gables (Lake Bloomington).
Labor Day - we left John and Bev's home (quietly) at 3:04 AM for the airport. We were flying standby and no problem getting from St. Louis to Chicago. Lots of people traveling this holiday, and hearing about delays, maintenance and operational (not sure what that means) issues, we finally made it on the flight to Syracuse and arrived around 1:00 (eastern time). Got in the truck (94 when we got to NY) and off to Flo. We saw that Catrina was out of the water, hooked up Flo to truck and off to the Oneida Shores RV Park for a few days to get settled, grocery shop, do laundry, etc.
Good to be back but so enjoyed our time in Bloomington and St. Louis with family and friends and BIG congratulations to Jason and Nicole!!!
Had a rain shower tonight and cooled down a bit!
We are feeling like zombies tonight - time for some sleep!!!
