Friday - August 23

Exercised, breakfast, 2 loads of laundry (marina only has 1 washer and dryer, so takes a while) and then for a bike ride.   We also walked to the Choptank River Lighthouse and walked thru that.  Very nice and interesting reading the history - this new replica (completed in 2012) still has that "new" smell to it!
Some of the boats in our marina - the Cambridge Yacht Club is next door and between it and our marina there are over 450 boat slips.   Picture taken from the lighthouse.

Watching the skies all morning as it got dark, then cleared and radar showed that "something" was coming??    But....nothing till late afternoon and then just a very slight drizzle.

We rode our bikes downtown to Gina's Ice Cream and Sweet Shoppe.

A leisurely afternoon of reading and then Mark grilled some delicious steaks (filet for me and ribeye for him) that we bought at the meat market yesterday.

Went for a walk and can't believe neither of us took our phones - duh!    That never happens.    Anyway, the skies have cleared and with the sun setting over the water, there was an orangey glow that made the Highway 50 bridge look all orange (it's a biggie) - beautiful and so sorry we didn't get a picture!    It was a spectacular sight.

Tomorrow we are moving on - final destination - Oxford (11 miles away).
