Friday - September 11

God bless the victims and their families

Chilly, gloomy Friday.....good day to just stay put and hibernate with good books and make plans for upcoming months.

It is so hard to comprehend the horrific fires happening in the Pacific Northwest  The pictures are mind boggling - entire towns wiped out,  We were in Medford, OR which has been hit with devastating damage and loss of life.   Mark was checking the route we took and there's no way anyone could be traveling there now.    Such beautiful country......heartbreaking.   🙏🙏🙏
God bless all those dedicated firefighters and first responders who are risking their lives day after day....I cannot imagine.

I'm to be at the surgicenter next Wednesday at 6 AM for 7:00 surgery on right eye.    And December 7th is the date for shoulder surgery!

Mark grilled out burgers and brats so we'll have some extras over the next few days!

We had not planned to go anywhere today, but Mark got a call that his bench cushion on Flo was ready.    He took it in earlier this week to have new foam put in and make firmer.    Off we went after lunch and also stopped at storage and ice cream at Gene's a favorite over the years, but hadn't been in a long time.   Tough decision - ice cream or coffee???   Ice cream won out and so delicious!

Went for a walk - really cool out.    Euchre with Mark and Nancy - spouses against spouses and my Mark and I won 2 of 3 close games!

Enjoy your weekend!
