Another chilly morning.....got the 1st set of exercises out of the way (EVERY day at least 2x). Last night when we were coming home from Eureka, the engine light came on in Ruby. After checking the manual and trying a few things, nothing changed. So, Mark took it to O'Reilly Auto Parts in Morton this morning and it was diagnosed as a misfire on one of the cylinders. They reset and threw the code away so we should be good to go - all this modern technology is way over my head!
And I got the answer to Cat vs Dog next door as the owner returned, hooked up his camper and left but not before he told me it's a DOG!!! A hunting breed from Japan - Shiba Inu - various colors and the red one looks just like a fox after I googled it. So.....Mark and Connor were right on!
So much water standing in the fields, so hoping these next few days of sunshine will dry things up - farmers have to be very frustrated!
Our friends Butch and Joyce from Champaign arrived around 10. They spend the winter in Frostproof, FL and we usually get together once or twice down there and then in the spring and fall when we're back in IL. The past few times when they've come to KK, we've hit a coffee shop to catch up and then lunch at the Mackinaw Tea Room, Always sooo good and today more of the same. We started at Faire Coffee in Eureka and yakked and yakked - then Joyce and I enjoyed some retail therapy at the Garden Gate and wonderful lunch!
One of the Bradley University basketball players was browsing the shop and then having lunch with 6 ladies including his girlfriend. This guy, Ahmet Jonovic is from Serbia and stands 7'1". Our waitress was quite knowledgeable about him. Ahmet was one BIG dude.
Came back to Flo and visited and they left around 3:30 - always so fun to be with them
In the garden with so many beautiful flowers...
