A yucky day weather wise with chilly windy conditions and then rain! But happy times for our Connor.
We went into town, got coffees at Java Cafe and ran some errands. Then to Martin Health Center to visit Donna Rae. She's had some recent health issues involving a 10-day hospital stay in St. Louis and now at Martin till she gets her strength back. As always, so good to see her and enjoy a good visit and thankful she's on the mend!!!
Ran a few more errands and then off to CCHS for 11 seniors athletic signing day. They each had a table set with balloons, banners, school paraphernalia and goodies pertaining to their college choice. After mingling a bit, we all went into the gym (nice crowd) for the ceremony. The seniors (1 girl and 10 boys) sat on stage and each was introduced and comments written by their respective team coach were read by Scott Vogel, (Director of Admissions and Marketing). Then back for refreshments, visiting, pictures and that was that!

We stopped at HyVee for a few groceries and back to KK as the strong winds and rain continued! At 5 we drove to Braker's in Eureka for some good take-home treats and then went to The Pickled Radish Provision Co, This place was formerly The Chanticleer (supper club) and has been closed (Covid). It has new owners and was renovated. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and will definitely return (dinner only in Eureka). Julie makes several kinds of cheesecake (her specialty along with a few other desserts). We brought home a slice of turtle cheesecake.
Our neighbor here at KK has a critter that sits in the window but not sure if it's a cat or dog??? Mark and Connor think it's a dog; but Anne and I agree on a cat. A single guy is living in his camper with dog/cat and puts in long hours. Since a cat doesn't need to go out during the day and since no one is around???
CAT or DOG?
Tonight for the first time since I had the carpal tunnel surgery (March 20th), I do not have to wear the little molded piece, sock and brace to bed!!! YEAH!!!
