Monday - August 30

Had a nasty ole thunderstorm last night around 9:30....heavy rain, thunder, lightning.    Woke up to gloomy, grey skies, but around 10, the sun came out and more pleasant temps in the low 80's.    We had pancakes, sausage and strawberries for breakfast (the fruit we've had from Bassett's has been absolutely wonderful....peaches, strawberries, blueberries, plums, etc.).    While I was working in Flo, Mark got one of Catrina's propane tanks filled.    We cleaned out and organized lockers, bins, drawers, closets and any nook and cranny that needed cleaning and organizing!!!

We're also sprucing things up a bit as our niece, Megan, nephew Matt and Matt's girl, Kara are coming from Columbus this Labor Day weekend.     They are all grads of Ohio State and we're so excited for them to visit Catrina, Flo and us, hopefully get in some good boating (weather dependent), eating (for sure) and family time (absolutely)!!!

Went for a little dinghy ride in the afternoon - took "Tigger" out on Lake Erie just to say we tried out the new engine on the big lake!    Mark is happy..........

And then Mark said he had an inspiration....."let's get some ice cream"!    Sure!!!   But the 2 places we went were closed on Mondays and we didn't want to go further to Tofts (51 flavors), so stopped at Bassett's and got a few groceries + ice cream treats and on home!

I made some BBQ for supper.    Walked in the evening and visited with Michael and Chris who are staying thru Wednesday.    Just we 4 here in the marina tonight and this pretty sky to enjoy...
