Sunday - August 22

A perfect summer Sunday for our last day on the water for 2021 (well, at least for a big cruise of 76 miles from Jefferson Beach to Port Clinton and "Home Sweet Home").    We left at 7:30 and had nice calm conditions with oodles of fishermen out doing their thing (Mark estimated over 100)!

On a clear day "you can see forever"!

We made the noon bridge and settled into #20 (Les Chaneaux) here at Superior Marine.    Dennis, Terry, Michael and Chris (owners) were getting ready to leave for an afternoon on the lake, so we talked briefly and they were off.    We enjoyed a quiet afternoon and the AC.   I won at cards.   Mark picked up some packages from the office and he has some jobs awaiting him these next 2 weeks and a "list" of things he hopes to accomplish before we leave on the 7th.

Yesterday Mark was having some twinges in his back, so back to the brace and ibuprofen.   Today, seems much better.   He's been doing so well.....fingers crossed and he's at the point of knowing what he can and can't do and how to go about doing it!!!

Had a nice visit with Chris and Michael under the tent and out of the hot sun.   They had a fun afternoon on Kelley's Island.
Mark's sister Sharon and her California grandbabies

7 on Zoom tonight - talk of Covid (getting it, recovering, etc.), Doris' upcoming knee replacement, new home for niece Cory and family, etc., etc.

Have a happy, healthy week!
