Wednesday - August 18

The remmants of Fred which were to come today didn't happen and all the rain went to the east of us.    So, we enjoyed a pretty day of sunshine, 81 and nice breeze.   2 big things on today's agenda - laundry and wash Catrina.    We are 6/10 of a mile from boat to laundry here at Jefferson Beach Marina.    So Mark hooked up the wagon to the bike, we loaded it up with our stuff and off he went with me walking.    Just $1 a load for wash and dry - what a deal!

Here comes my laundry man!

While the 2 washers and dryers were doing their thing, I sat with a good book,  and Mark rode his bike to Kroger (another 1.3 miles) to pick up a few things.    I folded the clothes, he hooked the wagon back up to bike and we were off.    Then time to tackle Catrina - as I've said before, the bugs have been really bad and this morning the back of Catrina was covered with little gnats - ugh!    So, I got all set up to scrub those little suckers off my boat and for now, we have a beautiful clean boat - til tomorrow when Charlotte will be back overnight "doing her thing"!   Ha!

We walked down to the Watermark for lunch - got there at 12:45 (they opened at noon) - no inside dining again today and all tables outside were full.    We were able to sit at the bar and have a delicious lunch (perch for Mark and a Maurice salad for me).

Delicious and reminded me of the Maurice salad at Jim's Steak House in Bloomington which has been a long-time favorite.    This had chopped gherkin pickles instead of the bacon!

The clouds rolled in this afternoon....but then later this evening, the sun came out and we had a very pleasant walk checking out all the BIG yachts here!!!
