Thursday - August 26

Woke up to lots of wind and very dark skies, but nothing developed and we had another very warm sunny day.

So today we started tackling our projects with me going back and forth from Catrina to Flo with stuff we won't need in the next 2 weeks and get both homes organized!    Last night Mark advertised the dinghy engine on Facebook Marketplace and got 7 responses.    The first guy came today from 2 hours away to pick it up.   We'll be picking up our new, much lighter-weight one tomorrow.   Mark changed the oil and filters in Catrina and the Lincoln guy came with a loaner and took my Corsair away for its 20,000 mile check-up.    It just turned one year old and has 19,600 miles already!!!   Geez and it's been in storage most of the summer!     They brought it back in less than 2 hours nice 'n clean!

We did a pump out in the afternoon - whew it is HOT!    Mark had some messy jobs today but came thru like a trooper!

After supper we had drinks with Steve and Ruth from New Hampshire under the tent.    They are Loopers and will store their beautiful Fleming (one of our favorite boat brands) here at Superior Marine this fall.    They wanted our thoughts on next summer's travels on Lake Huron (Georgian Bay and the North Channel).   We had such a fun visit and hope to meet up with them this winter as they'll be staying in Punta Gorda.

Bob and Donna who are here at Superior Marine (their home port like us) came later - they, too, have a Fleming so the 2 owners of these gorgeous boats met for the lst time.    Bob later stopped by with some apples from their orchard.   They live near Columbus on a farm.

Happy National Dog Day to Gibson and Frankie enjoying the cool indoors on another hot day in Bloomington!
