Friday - September 17

Hot 'n Sunny today - 90!    But what a fun day starting with Kathy and me saying our goodbyes to Claire (and Mike) with big thanks for their hospitality (slumber party) and just being together these past 3 days!

Kathy and I met Sue and Brenda at Crafted Coffee and Brews.    We sat outside and had a great visit - so much to yak about.    Then it was bye bye to Sue and Brenda and Kathy and I drove out in the country to see her farmland, where she grew up, the cemetery, the tiny town of Merna, etc., etc.    It was a great day to be out in the country.

Then Kathy and I met Barb for lunch at Biaggi's - and more yakkety yak.    We all enjoyed our lunches and visit and look forward to being in Florida together in February,

I took Kathy to the airport for her flight back to Dallas.   It's been such a fun, whirlwind girl time!    Wow, we covered alot of conversation and tracks (eating, shopping, walking, etc., etc.)

I stopped in to see Donna Rae, had a glass of wine and more chatter.    We'll be back together in a few weeks for dinner (Mark, too).

And then, at 3:30, I headed back to KK and Mark who has really been on his own this week.    He has waxed 1/2 of Flo with more of that fun coming!     He has been enjoying the folks here in the park, meeting other campers, sharing their stories, etc.

We walked a little bit around the park - very busy and full tonight.    Our neighbors here in the park are John and Barb formerly from Bloomington and now RV'ers who winter in Naples, FL.   Mark used to work with them at State Farm.    They invited us for dinner tonight and what fun and delicious enchiladas, salad with guacamole and peach gelatin pie - sooo good!   They have a beautiful 5th Wheel and 2 sets of twins - all girls (I first knew Barb from "Mothers of Twins Club").    We had a great visit and hopefully we can get together in FL.    It's been a really fun day and evening!
