Thursday - September 9

Eat, eat, eat...Shop, shop, shop - that's what we did today (eating for all but heavy shopping for we gals).

Our view from Flo - bean field and pretty farm setting

We picked Bob and Linda up at 8:30 and had breakfast at Harvest Coffeehouse downtown.
Bagels, muffins and coffees

Then the guys took us to Bronner's and oh my..........I finished up what I hadn't bought yesterday and Linda had a heyday in there, but lots of gifts, so....by the time we were finished, it was lunch time.  We arrived at Prost just before noon when they opened.   We had a wonderful lunch on the patio - just a gorgeous day.     We 4 ate here 5 years ago - a definite Frankenmuth favorite.

After lunch at Prost

Linda and I set off for the shops on Main Street and did some serious damage, BUT, happy to do our part to boost the Frankenmuth economy.

Most but not all our shopping bags
So much neat architecture in Frankenmuth

We finished up around 3:30, called the guys who had spent the afternoon on Flo and they came to take our packages and then we walked to Tiffany's.    It was very crowded but we were able to sit, enjoy a drink and then another great meal.

Many different Tiffany lamp shades

Said good night at 6:45 dropped them off at the hotel and we came back to Flo and went for a walk thru the park.   This auto fest going on this weekend is even bigger than we first heard - 4,000 + vehicles here (oldies cars and trucks that are in mint condition) and then their owners + all the people who are here to enjoy the show like a couple we talked to at Tiffany's who are here for the 14th straight year!

As we walked around the park (just in a small area of where all these vehicles are this weekend as they are everywhere around the town), we saw many from Michigan, but also IL, OH, AZ, CA, TN, MT and I imagine maybe most all states are represented as this is a BIGGIE car show!

Bob's been taking ibuprofen and icing his foot at night.    He kept it elevated when in Flo and hopefully, each day will get better?

It was a very fun day but time to rest up cause tomorrow we are off to Drummond Island.
