Wednesday - September 29

A real hot one today!    I slept in (9:15 but 7:15 AZ time).    Unpacked, caught up with Mark and then welcomed our friends, Butch and Joyce from Champaign who arrived at 11:30 with their 5th wheel for 2 nights.     We met them in Okeechobee at Water's Edge back in 2018 and and have gotten together off and on for some fun outings.   So nice to be camping together again and have them "experience KK"!

We visited in their 1-year old 5th wheel (beautiful) and enjoyed some yummy coffee/lattes made on their nice fancy machine.  We walked around the park and later they came to our patio for drinks and snacks.    And then we were off to Busy Corner for supper (1st time this year for me).   Came back happy, stuffed campers    Butch built a fire and we gathered 'round for more yakkin, wine, etc.     Nine years ago Butch had a heart transplant in Madison, WI.....he's doing so well and he and Joyce are such a fun couple to be with!

Butch's awesome fire and so pleasant sitting outdoors on this beautiful evening

So proud of Connor and the CCHS golf team on their 1st place finish today in the state golf regionals.   Connor is 2nd from left and shot a 79.    Now onto sectionals!
Way to go guys and best of luck Monday!

Update on Mark's bed cover which was ordered 35 days ago and remains a mystery?    FedEx says they cannot transfer the shipping address without the seller requesting it.    So...........the latest is that the company in Springfield, MO is "hopefully" rerouting it from Perrysburg, OH (finally found) to Carlock, IL BEFORE October 13th as we are leaving here on the 14th.    They are as frustrated as we are....but we'll hope it makes it.    What a mess!     The FedEx lady in Perrysburg told Mark "it's a very large package"....yeah, so how did it get misplaced???
