Sunday - September 26

A great night's sleep for Missy and me....we were up at 6 AM and started the chatter in the kitchen.

We shared stories of growing up, our families, and much more with laughs, tears and memories.   And then off to 9:00 Mass at St. Clare of Assisi - surprised that this very large, modern church had very few kneelers?    Mostly no masks were worn.    Had delicious breakfast at Nick's Diner (#1 for breakfast in Surprise).    On home in the rain which continued thru most of the day and only 73.    Crazy after all the 100+ weather they've been having, but no complaints!

A nice quiet afternoon watching TV, reading, visiting, etc.    John and Beth have such a lovely VRBO and Missy and I are thrilled to be staying here.    Beth has such a knack for decorating (as seen in 2 homes in Fort Myers) and John has put his talent and remodel knowledge into this home heart and soul!

We sure appreciated the bag of treats they leave on the table for their guests!

Thoughtful gift!

Later this afternoon, Missy and I did facetime with Jane (my Sublettian friend and cousin) and classmate of ours from Midstate College of Commerce, Peoria, IL when we started back in 1966.    What a wonderful friendship we've had thru all these years.

Last night these young men went to Homecoming at CCHS with friends.
