Wednesday - September 8

After 1" of rain (and no hail damage) yesterday/last night, we woke up to the clearest, freshest skies and temps.    We had breakfast at Oma's (Grandma) in the Bavarian Lodge - excellent!    I had a mushroom/spinach/tomato quiche, fresh fruit and stollen toast.   Mark had stollen French Toast and sausage.

Oma's - YumEEE

We were in the truck and after breakfast, filled Big Red with diesel and then back to Flo.    Mark had a bunch of bookwork to do and I took my car and went across the street to Bronner's Christmas Shop (320,000 square feet) - mind boggling but so fun to wander around - 2.5 hours later, I was happy with my purchases.    Linda and I will be going back at some point - I still am pondering about a few things and she'll definitely want to shop at one of our favorite places!

The clouds rolled in this afternoon with a high of 73.

Linda called around 3:30 that they were in town, settled in their room and ready to shop!     We picked them up and the guys took us to the River Place Shops.    While we walked around, they sat and gabbed.    Bob did something to his foot and really hurting....no idea what happened.    Woke up with the pain and swelling this morning.

Then we were off to Zehender's, a Frankenmuth tradition for their wonderful family-style chicken dinners.    We always eat here when we come and again tonight, it was all so delicious!     Linda and I shopped in the downstairs Market Place while the guys went to the bar.    Then we all chowed down on some great comfort food.

The RV's have really been rolling into the park today - this weekend is the big Auto Fest downtown, so many old cars already here and expecting crowds in the thousands.....glad we'll be out of here before the throngs arrive.
