Woke up to very dreary skies with a sight drizzle, strong winds out of the NW and only 56! But the really big drama was trillions of mayflies - they covered Catrina and every surface as far as we could see. Unbelievable! Mark cleared a path to get off the boat. We left to do laundry and grocery shop and Dave was using his high-powered blower. He cleaned off the best he could and was still blowing around the marina when we returned 3+ hours later. Even inland, they are EVERYWHERE! Where there were lights last night, REALLY bad. Dave said it's the worse he's ever seen and he's seen a lot of mayflies.
So, off to R Coffee Corner for breakfast and then 4 loads of laundry. Stopped at WalMart for groceries and on home. Unloaded the car of all the groceries, clean clothes, etc. Lunch and then a little rest before we were off again....
I had a 3:20 appt. with Dr. Brad Buck, urologist to see the status of my kidney stones after having x-rays in Bloomington, Last August when I had an "episode" on our way to nephew Danny's wedding in Wisconsin, I ended up in the Port Clinton ER and then had follow-up with Dr. Buck who told me I have FOUR stones lurking around! ARGHHH... and he wanted to see me this spring, so....new x-rays showed I now have ONE which is 4.3 mm. He suggested I have it blasted (pulverized) and so we scheduled that for August when we return to Port Clinton.
We came out of the Dr. office and the sun was shining! 😊😊
Stopped at Bassetts for a few more groceries, picked up one final package from Amazon, got Ruby washed and on home. Unloaded the car, put Ruby in storage with Flo and Big Red, and Mark washed the boat - (no idea what it will look like in the morning??)
We can't take fresh fruit and veggies into Canada and very limited to the amount of alcohol. 😲
Here's a few pics from Catrina and the marina...
