Tuesday - June 11

And we are off.....................at 12:07, we left the Portage River, entered Lake Erie and 107 miles and 6 hours, 10 minutes later, we were in Geneva, Ohio at the Geneva State Park Marina.    Had some choppy seas and pounding on the lake today but not too bad.    We  ran from down below as it was cold up on the bridge.    Did not have internet or cell service a big part of the afternoon.

This morning it was so nice to wake up to calm winds, sunshine and just a few mayflies.    While I was getting a mani-pedi, Mark did a pumpout, got everything secured and left for the 11:00 bridge to tie up at the city dock where I met him after my pampering and away we go....

We were last here on July 9, 2023.   The beautiful Geneva-on-the-Lake Resort is next door - we remember riding our  bikes on a great path and had dinner at the resort but they were turning people away as they didn't have enough staff.    Sad....

We are tired tonight and just had a light supper on Catrina.    Another big day coming tomorrow to cross the lake into Canada and then doing the Welland Canal on Thursday.

Made this Mama happy that Philip took his kiddos to visit their great grandparents graves in Sublette, IL.
