Tuesday - June 18

Today started out strange....woke up to thunder, lightning and a brief shower.   The sky was so dark over the lake.    But all cleared up, the sun came out and the temps started climbing reaching 86.

We walked to the beach last night which is a mile east of here - could not believe the huge crowd on a Monday evening and not that hot!    The sand is a dark brown - nothing like Florida beaches!

entrance to marina

Fifty Point Yacht Club is behind the main marina and it is HUGE......there's a restaurant, too "Limani at fifty Taverna" but it's only open Thursday-Sunday.  ๐Ÿ˜ž

Limani is Greek, Arabic or Persian and means port, farm or harvest

I fixed ham, eggs and English muffins for breakfast.    Mark had his charts out plotting more days of cruising especially with the holidays coming (July 1 is Canada Day and our July 4th) which could be  challenging getting slips.    And then waiting for folks to return his calls???

We played 2 games of 2-handed euchre and I was the big loser!  ๐Ÿ˜’

We went for a few short walks but hot!    Found a shady spot on a bench by the water, so that was pleasant.

Pretty view

We had spaghetti and garlic toast for supper!    Mark thoroughly enjoyed the home-cooked meal, but we both hope there's a restaurant nearby tomorrow!  ๐Ÿ˜‹

Must be sailboat races on Tuesday evenings, cause there were a bunch going out and then a few hours later, returning.
