Saturday - June 1

Oh my, it's June already - crazy how fast this year is flying by!   Annette made a delicious breakfast casserole and the day was off and running.   Luke had an all day adventure with his TASK group (hiking and swimming) but the rest of us had nothing special planned.

Mark has been working on the logistics for our 2-month trip to the Canadian ports on Lake Ontario, including the Welland Canal.   We plan to leave June 13th.   Our family has lots of trips planned for the month of June.....San Diego, Alaska, Las Vegas, St. John's

Annette, Maeve, Mark and I went to Lake James State Park visitor center - wow....beautiful.   I was here a few years ago when it was under construction but now it is all done, very educational and with beautiful views, many trails and a nicely paved walking path which we took to the end (1/4 mile).

These are what Annette put in a vases around the house - duh....I first thought they were some sort of lilacs, but they are a type of hydrangea - gorgeous!
Great place to be 'round the fire at Philip and Annette's

Philip showed off some of his latest woodworking projects - he is something with that talent and helps friends with projects for their homes..   He washed their van and Ruby today - big thanks!

Annette fixed delicious club sandwiches and then we went on a pontoon ride and spent the afternoon at the camp.....Michael's family were all there and Ryan and Erin stopped in.   Fun time playing cards - 4-handed euchre with Philip and I beating Mark and Annette and then 6-handed with the girls.   So much fun and laughs

Annette made another excellent meal - spaghetti, salad, garlic toast and wine!    Then we played euchre with Mark and I against Philip and Annette - we each won a game and called it a night!
