Another new baby to welcome to the family, Our niece, Sarah and Daniel (Mark's sister, Sharon's daughter) had a baby boy this morning. Details coming soon
Mark went to Coffee Express for coffees for us. He changed an O ring on the port engine yesterday and wanted to check and make sure all was working well, bilge was dry, etc. So we took Catrina out for a little spin - we made the 10:00 bridge opening and returned at 10:30. All good and dry!!!! Alleluia! Catrina is 20 years old this year and we've had her since 2009.
Supposed to get some storms this afternoon so decided to go out for lunch and hunker down later. Went to Bistro 163, the "Pay it Forward" restaurant run by volunteers and helping those less fortunate. Their menu is just the best......so many yummy choices. We scarfed down our lunch (Mark had cobb salad and chicken corn chowder and I had the specialty quiche and tomato basil soup.) We drove to Catawba Island to do a little browsing at Rudder's Cafe and Gifts. They have thee most delicious tuna salad, so happy to get some of that and look at all the pretties.
Stopped at Rite Aid for some ibuprofen and on home. Mark did some work on Flo and then went to Baby Bassett's (smaller version of bigger Bassett's grocery store) for some stainless screws.
We were so looking forward to our friends, Jim and Kay coming to Port Clinton (Catawba Island) tomorrow thru Monday. Unfortunately Jim has had some serious health issues, spent 2 nights in the hospital and they are cutting their big summer trip thru the Midwest short. When Jim's ready to travel, they'll be returning to AZ. Hope Mark can help with thoughts of where they can store their trailer till next spring/summer. But right now, it's all about Jim making a full recovery!
I was checking out the summer schedule for Gatlin (our favorite duo from Fort Myers). Last summer they had a show right here at the Port Clinton Elks and what a big crowd. They're coming back on August 3rd, but we won't be back from our summer trip. 😞
The rain started around 5, stopped for a few hours and then came heavier around 8:00.
