I'm heartbroken and very sad to hear this morning that a dear friend and fellow Sublettian passed away last night. Debbi was thee most wonderful, admired and loved teacher for many years at St. Claire, Holy Trinity and Corpus Christi school. Ryan and Liam were both blesssed to have her in 3rd grade.
She was born and raised in Sublette and founded our Sublettian group (friends who all attended and graduated from St. Mary's school) many years ago. She was a wife, mother to 3 daughters and grandma to 4. Debbi had cancer, was in remission and then it came back with a vengeance. She was such a trooper throughout and left us much too early at age 70.
Sooo many memories of fun times together laughing till we cried (Debbi was the crazy funny one who kept us smiling and in stitches)! We could always count on Deb to entertain us!
RIP Deb - you will be sooo missed. 😢😢😢
Mark left early for PT with Donna. Shortly after he left, my phone weather alert went off about storms and sure enough radar looked nasty. We had really dark skies, some light rain, but then pretty much fizzled out? The strong winds continued throughout the day.
We left for Eureka at 11 to meet Jane, Joe and Allie at Braker's (wonderful Apostolic Christian grocery/gift/bakery/restaurant). Love going here and extra special today being with cousin Jane, Joe and Allie after a very long absence of all being together. We missed Owen who was not feeling well. After lunch, we sat and visited, had coffee/ice cream and then shopped and then time to say good bye...😢
Delicious lunch at Brakers

Stopped to get some ice cream for cake-in-a-mug that Mark is making! Snickerdoodle cake with ice cream - yum!!!
Quiet afternoon as we hunkered down in Flo who was affected by these strong winds! Yikes....
Walked around 6 but still windy and warm. Big change coming tomorrow - much cooler (by 20 degrees) and rain! New states tonight in the park....2 newbies from FL and WA + WI, PA and IL.
Enjoy your weekend!
