Tuesday - May 24

Cool breezy day with off and on sunshine.   We left for town with 4 loads of laundry.    Got the machines going and walked next door to Gloria Jeans only to find them closed???  So, got in car and drove to Dunkin and their line was LONG with no inside dining.    Plan C was Starbucks, got our coffees and back to the laundromat (I thoroughly enjoyed Jody's carrot cake with my latte).   Mark had a breakfast sandwich.

Our laundromat buddies (repairman and cleaning guy) were both there working away - always so friendly, but what a vicious cycle working on washers/dryers that constantly need attention!

On home and put clean clothes away.

Got an e-mail from our friends Bob and Marsha who have been vacationing in Scotland and Ireland with their daughter and granddaughter (just graduated from high school).    Maddie (granddaughter) tested positive so they (Marsha and Maddie) are stuck in Dublin for ???   And if Marsha should test positive, quarantine will be extended.    My oh my.....rest of family got home ok and no one else in their group caught Covid.

Went back to town and met friends Roger and Carol at RobDobs for lunch - we sat in a cozy booth in this classy restaurant and had a good chat over our delicious lunches.     They just returned from FL last week - lots to catch up on.

Roger and Carol

Said our good byes and we were off to get a few groceries at Schnucks and then stopped at Anne's to see the boys after school and tell them bye bye till July when we see them in NC.  They were off to mow lawns before the next batch (3 days worth) of rain comes.   We met Anne at the funeral home for our friend, Debbie's visitation.    Sad.....

Good bye hugs with Anne and we stopped at Energy Hut (I got a Boba drink) and then to Holy Cross Cemetery to visit Patrick's gravesite.

On home to read about the Texas school shooting......when will this senseless violence end?   Poor innocent little ones about to end their school year......

Congratulations to Brady who was inducted into the National Honor Society tonight!

Found this at Schnucks today...breading for chicken and Davis's employer
