Monday-Tuesday, May 16-17

Monday -  We were off to the Coffee Emporium for light breakfast and then drove onto Mendota.   It was a pretty day and we got the car washed in Peru and then promptly drove past a farmer along the highway really stirring up the dust!    Ha...

Stopped at Bob and Linda's. unloaded some stuff and then we 4 went to El Zarape for lunch with the Sublettians .    Been 2 1/2 years since we were together so....it was really fun to yak and yak over delicious margaritas, lunch and dessert.   Some of our long-time former classmates and friends came and a real surprise as we had not seen them in a very long time!

Said our good byes and so appreciated Marilyn putting this together and I was really happy that we were back in the area to join in the fun.

Back to Bob and Linda's, visited for a bit and then Mark and I drove to Dixon to be with his family.    Youngest sister Karen offered her home for our dinner and 10 of us enjoyed delicious Italian fare from The Basil Tree + wine and of course, much chatter.

Stopped in Sublette beforehand to visit Mom and Dad's grave and check out the pretty spring  bouquet which the local florist delivers 3x a year.

We said our good byes and Mark and I drove back to Bob and Linda's.    LOTS of hugs today with the Sublettians and family.

Tuesday - Linda had a yummy breakfast of sausage/egg/cheese casserole, coffee cake and fruit.    She and I went to Princeton for some shopping, coffee at The Bean Bizz and on home.   No major purchases but fun to check out these cute shops.   Bob and Mark drove around the country checking out the farm, etc.   Rained a little on the way back to Mendota.   Much cooler today.

 Frankie is ONE today!
Happy Birthday, Frankie

My brother Ron had knee replacement today in FL....wishing him a speedy, full recovery!  All went well and he's home tonight!   Unbelievable!!!

Mark picked Aunt Marian up at 2:00 and brought here over to bob's for some rousing games of euchre.    Linda and I won the 1st and last with Aunt Marian and Mark winning 3 in between!    Lots of fun.    Cousin Dick and Mary came later and we had a good visit before going to China House for great Chinese.     Hitting all the ethnic food groups yesterday/today...Mexican/Italian/Chinese.     Piggin' out big time!!!
