Wednesday - December 23

"Happy Heavenly Birthday" to my Dad......he would've been 103 today!    So many memories of birthday celebrations and then Christmas just 2 days later!

Also, Happy 9 Months to Gibson (our grand dog).   I'm sure he'll get lots of love today!

Wow....the winds have been howling since yesterday afternoon and we can really hear as 2 of our rattling windows (living room and bedroom) are from the south directly where it's coming from.     They are to continue into the early morning hours of Christmas Eve.    At 10 AM, the gusts were at 47 mph.\; however, it's 57 degrees.

I am really happy with my shoulder recovery.    More and more mobility each day, less discomfort and the exercises aren't as painful.    The colorful bruising is slowly going away but moving down and almost to my elbow.    Dr. Pilcher said when the bruising starts to disappear, that's a sign it's healing inside, too!!!

Liam and Connor will be going back to in-classroom learning a week earlier than planned - January 11th instead of the 19th.    Glad to hear this and hope other schools will do the same!

Mark picked up lunch today from Biaggi's - it was sooo good (one of our favs) and along with some wine, made for a festive, delicious lunch!

We watched a very good movie (Michael's recommendation) this afternoon as the winds blew and the rain beat down on our windows!    "Hidden Figures" came out in 2016 and based on a true story set in the early 1960's and the NASA space program.    Excellent!!!

Played euchre with Mark and Nancy today and once again, the computer paired Nancy and me against the Marks'.    Cards were not pretty and we girls lost all 3.    UGH.....till the next time!

Love this memory from 9 years ago celebrating with Dad on his 94th  at the nursing home.   😥
